The new record from The Weight marks an important point in Joseph Plunkett's career. He was once a singer-songwriter with hired guns - for this project he moved to New York an assembled a band. All of the members contributing to the creative process. With this release the band stayed closer to a more traditional Americana sound than the punk influenced alt-country it was creating before.
