New Music: The Lemonheads

“Varshons” is the new covers record by The Lemonheads said to be inspired by Gibby Haynes’ mix tapes.

For me, this record plays out like an Evan Dando solo record, but it’s a good one. The collection of covers pretty much covers the spectrum with songs from GG Allin, Wire, Townes Van Zandt and Leonard Cohen. The band recently finished up a tour of the states.
