Happy New Year!
I started indiePulse years ago as a simple way to stay invloved and help promote the work of emerging artists. I had no idea how much my life and the music industry would change over the years. It's amazing how indie has become mainstream. When I started, CDs came in the mail everyday. It was exciting and it seemed easier to manage all of the new music coming in. Now, even though I prefer CDs, most music arrives digitally in my inbox - making it all a bit more challenging. With a family and career, my life is way busier. While a long commute to the office ensures that I listen to a ton of music, I don't have a lot of time for posting.. I want to find more time for that in 2012.
There was a lot of great music released in 2011. Thanks to all of the artists that have contacted me and submitted music over the past year. I wish I could have more time to talk with all of you and post all of your music. Even if your music didn't appear on indiePulse this year, your art is a huge inspiration to me and the world. Keep dreaming, keep working and please keep sending me your music. I wish you all the best and can't wait to hear 2012.
