This post is a litlle tardy but if you're in the Pittsburgh area you should check out a fantastic art show running now at Concept Art Gallery. My brother, Joseph Lupo, has 10 prints in this show. The show is called “Curator’s Choice: Celebrating 40 Years of Concept Art Gallery” - 20 regional curators picked over 20 artists to show in this exhibition. The show runs from Sept. 8 to Oct. 7.
Concept Art Gallery
1031 South Braddock Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15218
Hours of Operation Tuesday – Saturday: 10 AM – 5:30 PM Thursday: 10 AM – 8PM Sunday: 12 PM – 4 PM (closed Sundays from Memorial Day until Labor Day)
Joseph Lupo recently did a couple blog posts about his new work. There are two new series with a ton of prints in each. I think my favorite series is the CMYK printing of all 23 pages of the Iron Man 178 comic - stunning. www.josephlupo.com
Joseph Lupo's latest portfolio project consists of work from artists inspired by comics. The title of the collection is called "NOT Approved by the Comics Code Authority" and you can check out all of the work here on his blog.
Ramp Gallery has one of the best show print collections around. They specialize in the Pacific Northwest which makes it a perfect resource for a couple of my all-time favorite area bands Hazel and Heatmiser.
