The Wedding Present has announced plans for a "Seamonsters" 21st anniversary tour. They will be playing the classic 1991 album [recorded with Steve Albini] in its entirety. The band also has new record coming out soon.

My friends in DeXter just announced some great news. First, they will be playing a show at the Red Line Tap in Chicago on 12/9/11. The Red Line Tap is located in Chicago's Roger's Park neighborhood. Show starts at 9pm and there are 3 bands.. $5 cover.
Second, they just established a Facebook page and posted a video from a recent show I attended at SPACE in Evanston. The song is currently unreleased and was incredible so go check it out.

DeXter just announced a headlining show coming up at Martyrs' on Friday, September 2nd. $8 cover at the door or buy advance tix at www.martyrslive.com . Martyrs' is located at 3855 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago (about 2 blocks south of Irving Park Rd. on Lincoln). Music starts at 9:00pm with Wes John Cichosz followed by The Jesters. DeXter hits the stage at 11:30pm.
Connecticut-based indie-pop duo Mates of State have announced a second leg of tour dates in the U.S., beginning October 26th in Birmingham, AL. Starting on September 21st, the band will tour the East Coast, kicking off at D.C.'s 9:30 Club and wrap up their trek after stopping in the South and ending in the Midwest on November 21st, where they will play Cleveland's Beachland Ballroom just in time for Thanksgiving. Along the way, the band will be performing in such historic venues as New York City's Webster Hall and Los Angeles' Music Box. The tour is in support of the band's forthcoming record, Mountaintops, which will be released on September 13th via Barsuk Records. Mountaintops is the band's full-length follow up to 2008's critically acclaimed Re-Arrange Us.
